We proudly celebrated 71st Independence Day this year. India’s economy is one of the biggest economies of the world; we have diversified culture and are increasing in numbers rapidly day by day. But are we developing accordingly in every aspect?

Well the fact sheet according to research does not indicate the development in normal pace, this is an alarming fact for all of us. It is sad to know that;

• We still have huge population of adults who are illiterate and can’t even sign. They still use thumb impressions.
• Millions of children are living on streets; they are victims of child labor- physical and mental assaults. They are not going to schools and hence their future is unpredictable and insecure too.
• In spite of hundreds of government programs to empower disadvantaged population living in streets, slum areas as well as villages. The condition of our nation is not increasing in normal pace.
• Due to lack of healthcare facilities throughout the country, especially in disadvantaged areas, thousands of infants and ladies dies within few hours of delivery. Poor old agers are not getting adequate health facilities to fight with poverty as well as health issues.
• There are very few differently abled kids who are getting adequate attention to lead their life equivalent to abled kids. This list goes on.

Children are our future and hence they seek extra attention. There are many factors which can help in improving conditions of our kids. First and foremost factor is giving access to free education to every child. Other steps should be stopping child labor and any kind of assault, preventing them for living on streets, providing adequate healthcare facilities to let them stay away from deadly diseases. 

There are many NGOs who are trying to run parallel with government for providing equal facilities to everyone. Poverty should be thrown out of this country as soon as possible. Child Welfare Organizations in New Delhi are playing huge role in nurturing every kid and helping them in living a comfortable life.
